Terms of Service

Use of the GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF NORTH FLORIDA text message-based and SMS services (“Service”) is subject to the following Terms of Service, also known as Terms & Conditions. These terms of service constitute a legal agreement (“Agreement”). Please read them carefully.

The Terms of Service incorporates all privacy terms within the Privacy Policy. GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF NORTH FLORIDA is committed to protecting your privacy. The Privacy Policy governs how we treat the Personal Information that we collect and receive from you in connection with your use of the Service.

By using the Service, you agree to the terms within this Agreement. GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF NORTH FLORIDA reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify or change the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy at any time with or without prior notice to you. The date of the last update will be posted at the top of the document for your convenience. The Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy, and any changes, are effective as soon as posted. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of any changes to the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy constitutes your full acceptance of those changes.

SMS and Opting In to Use the Service

By agreeing to these Terms of Service and providing us with your mobile phone number when you opt in to the Service, you authorize GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF NORTH FLORIDA to contact you by text message at your mobile phone number using an automatic telephone dialing system or device, SMS application, by email, or any other computer assisted technology as applicable.

GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF NORTH FLORIDA will offer several different opportunities, such as entering a phone number online, to opt-in to the SMS Service.  When you opt in, you will receive an opt-in message that contains:

 (1) a welcome message with the program or product description;

 (2) the telephone number(s) or short code(s) from which messaging will originate;

 (3) the Brand name and specific identity of the organization;

 (4) the individual representing the organization where applicable;

 (5) any associated pricing, fees, or charges and SMS texting disclaimer for Carrier rates;

 (6) the message frequency including the number or frequency of messages;

 (7) other applicable terms and conditions including;

 (8) And HELP/STOP Instructions and customer care contact information.

An SMS Service user might opt-in by:

1. Calling, texting, or emailing an employee with an inquiry and requesting an SMS response,
2. Sending a SMS message containing a keyword,
3. Filling out a web form or paper form that includes their phone number, or
4. Signing up at a retail, donation, classroom, or human service location.

Opting Out of the Service

You have the ability to opt out of the Service at any time for any reason. You can opt out by replying to any Service SMS message by texting “STOP” or call 904-384-1361. After you send the SMS message “STOP” to us, we will send you a final SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time, and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.

For HELP with the Service

If at any time you forget what keywords are supported, just reply to any Service SMS message with the text “HELP” or call 904-384-1361. After you send the SMS message “HELP” to us, we will respond with instructions on how to use our Service as well as how to unsubscribe.

Message Rates and Carriers

Various Message Carriers may be used to deliver the Service and Message Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. As always, message and data rates may vary and may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF NORTH FLORIDA is not liable for the cost of any such messages.

Message Frequency

When using the Service you may receive messages related to the Service offering. When you opt in to use the Service, you will receive an opt in Message with clear disclosure that includes the number and or frequency of messages you will receive specific to the offering you requested.

Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13, and GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF NORTH FLORIDA does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. Children aged 13 or younger should not submit any Personal Information without the permission of their parents or guardians. By using the Service, you are representing that you are at least 18, or that you are at least 13 years old and have your parents’ permission to use the service.

Intended audience

GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF NORTH FLORIDA requires that users of this service be limited to US residents only.

Personal Usage and Personal Devices

You understand that anyone with access to your mobile phone may be able to view the messages you receive when using the Service, and you agree that GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF NORTH FLORIDA will not be liable to you if this occurs.

Consent and Services Offered

You understand that you are not required to consent to the Service to receive any other services from GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF NORTH FLORIDA.
