Mayor’s Young Leaders Advisory Council (MYLAC)

Goodwill of North Florida has partnered with the City of Jacksonville and the Kids Hope Alliance to facilitate The Mayor’s Young Leaders Advisory Council (MYLAC). MYLAC was established in 2014 and is composed of high school juniors and seniors.

MYLAC gives youth with leadership potential the opportunity to learn more about city government and effective citizenship so they can make a positive difference as young leaders. Students can earn service hours for their participation in volunteer events with the program and scholarship opportunities are available for seniors.

Requirements:

  • Complete the application
  • Attend a Duval County school
  • Junior or Senior
  • Maintain a 2.0 GPA or better

The deadline to register for the MYLAC Class of 2025-2026 is August 29, 2025.
